Troll frag

Trollz cat Northeast has left a new comment on your post "Troll Patrol":

Hmmm . . . still no link to the document in question. Just incessant excuses for its absence. "The government must have seen it . . . TRUST them." "It's not his burden of proof." Yawn.

And then, irrelevant comments about the blog owner's rights and intelligence. Well, let's see. She proclaims herself a passionate advocate of peace and harmony, but then spends every other post calling conservatives stupid and evil. Ask her a simple question, and she goes on a hysterical rampage to "out" you while all her friends make threats of violence. But never answer the question, other than to call it ludicrous. Typical liberals.

I think I'll stick around and help educate you. You're welcome!

Well, this has all been an amusing diversion, but ultimately a waste of everyone's time. We all got a little outraged, and I'd like to thank my friends who had such nice things to say about me. I appreciate it very much. But we all have better things to do than spend time in engaging someone like this. Heck, even Northeast, who has spent the past two days obsessively checking this blog and its comments section (thanks for sending my stats up, though!) must have better things to do than waste his time with a group of people he obviously feels are "dumbasses." (As an aside, I see that my previous troll and her sister have also been checking obsessively over the past couple of days. I'm sure they had a good little chuckle over Northeast and his comments about me and my friends, which tells us everything we need to know about them. Perhaps the three of them can get together for a potluck, although I'm sure all the food and drink would taste decidedly bitter.)

A few things here. Northeast's continued harping on the birther "controversy" is fairly indicative of his mindset. It's old news, Skippy, thoroughly debunked. I haven't written anything about it for over a year (you can read my birther entry here, if you so choose) because it is a non-issue. His continued demands for me to produce the document are just...well, they're just silly. His patron saint, the lunatic Orly Taitz, has had numerous lawsuits thrown out of court, and has even been fined for frivolously wasting the court's time. If you're on the same team as Orly Taitz, Northeast, you might want to rethink your position. After all, bat-shit crazy can rub off on a person.

Yes, I do have strong opinions about some of the conservatives in the government and in the news, and what they are doing to my country. Yes, I think some of them are stupid (Christine O'Donnell), and I think some of them are evil (Sharron Angle). I think some of them are stupid and evil (Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachmann, et al). I'm not the first to state these opinions, and I certainly hope I won't be the last. Everyone has the right to their own opinions, and since this is my blog, I choose to express them here. Northeast obviously has differing opinions; perhaps he will start his own blog, where he can express his own opinions. I'm sure he'll understand if I don't stop by to read it.

And if you think my previous entry was a "hysterical rampage," you really don't know me very well. And you don't want to. I'm fine with that, believe me.

NetTroll I do appreciate his kind offer to stick around and help educate us, but I think he'll also understand if I don't take him up on it. I enjoy other viewpoints, and I have had several people express them here over the years. However, Northeast doesn't want a discussion; he wants merely to belittle and insult. You don't start an intelligent conversation or even a lively debate with someone by starting off with calling them an "ignorant dumbass." And you don't subsequently insult their friends by continuing to call them names. These are not the signs of someone who has any desire to engage in any sort of real discussion.

Since that is the case, as owner and proprietor of this blog, I have made an executive decision. I don't like to do this, because I loathe censorship, and I let 99% of comments that are left here stand. It's a rarity for me to do so, but I will be deleting all further comments from Northeast, or any other nom de plume he decides to use. His goal is not to further any dialogue; his goal is to kill it, and beat those who disagree with him into submission. (Remember my tip, Northeast...bag o' oranges!)

I'm not going to moderate comments, but I get emails for them all, and I will be deleting his as soon as I see them. You may still see them if you get here before I do, and I apologize for that. I'll see them all, but I'm cool with that.

You're welcome.

The return of my Secret Admirer

Well, my clever plan backfired. Early next week, Ken has to work a couple of night shifts, so I thought I'd try to transition into staying up late and sleeping late, so that we're a little closer in our schedules. The staying up late part was no problem for this night owl gal (I think I was up until 4:30 or so), but the sleeping late part was. I've been getting up earlier anyway, and this morning I was startled awake by thunder and lightning. Yes, in December, in Indiana. It looks like in the Nutwood area we got freezing rain rather than snow. It doesn't look too bad, though, with just a light coating on the trees and on the deck, and it seems to be changing over to just rain. I'm not sure what tonight will bring, but I hope it doesn't make it bad for Ken getting home. In the meantime, Sheeba and I are snugs as bugs!

Hey everybody, looky-look-look-look who's back!

hehe...funny you should mention that. you know, there are some seemingly "normal" bloggers out there and then there are those 'bat-shit crazy' (whateverthehellthatis)ones. so sweet and nice on the surface, but look out! it's so sticky sweet it's sick! oh, sorry, sounds like some nuttywood jun....oh nevermind.

O Anon, Anon...I've missed you so. Your wit ("Nuttywood"--that's a play on Nutwood, right? Very clever!), your way with words, the charming way you start to say something, then like a shy flower, you hold your words, teasing me with the promise of thoughts unspoken.

I've missed you the way the parched ground misses the replenishing rains; I've missed you the way the still and silent forest misses the call of the whippoorwill; I've missed you as if I were a Shasta daisy on a dark and dreary day, craving the kiss of the summer sun.

A day without you is as painful as having a massive cold sore on the day you're getting your driver's license renewed, knowing that you'll see that cold sore for the next four freakin' years. Your absence is as hurtful as being told that Michael Bolton and Celine Dion are giving a Christmas concert together and your attendance is mandatory. Not having you around has been heart-wrenching, the way watching a 24-hour marathon of "Diff'rent Strokes" would tear at my heart...Nay! My very soul. You want to leave me? Watchoo talkin' 'bout, Anon?!

Although as Mark wrote, it is flattering to know that you care about me so much. He sees your affection for me. It's been a while, but you couldn't stay away. It gives me great hope to know that there is something about me that draws you...that even if you're gone for a while, you'll be back. If I didn't believe that, I...I...I'm not sure I could go on.

Okay, I'm done. I hope you all don't mind that I addressed my dear Anon in this public forum, but since they remain a very secretive Secret Admirer, it's the only way I can tell them of my feelings. Hey, did you see that they think I'm sticky sweet? Is that sticky sweet like in the Def Leppard song? "I'm hot, sticky sweet, from my head down to my feet." Anon, you make me blush! Or is it stick sweet in a goody-two-shoes, Pollyanna kind of way? Hahaha! I can honestly say I don't think anyone has ever called me a goody-two-shoes! You all know how shy and retiring I am, never wanting to speak my mind or do anything that would rock the boat. [wink]

How about a poll? Tell me what you guys think!

Live, from Nutwood, it's Wednesday Niiight!

As my Dad would say, "Oh, for Pete's sake."

The Troll of the Day Award goes to Anonymous, for harassing not only me, but also my readers. You only get "the day" award, dear Troll, because I've read much worse on other blogs. Unless you want to up the ante and raise the rhetoric--if not the roof--you are small potatoes. But you get a special nod for this little bit o' honey:

"The fact that Beth made it a point to single out the killing of bears and wolves but neglected to speak of the disgusting issue of abortion is EXACTLY why we have now a president-elect who supports such an act."

Wait a minute...my mention the other day of Governor Palin's support of aerial killing of wolves and bears is EXACTLY why Barack Obama is our President-Elect?! Wow!

You heard it here, folks! I am responsible for the election of Barack Obama as the President of the United States! Me! Me me me! ME!

Your little hostess here at Nutwood is grateful and humbled by the honor. To know that my commentary here on Nutwood resulted in the greatest, most positive change in recent global politics is sobering and yes...gratifying. Thank you! Thank you all! Mwah! Mwah!

Although I've given the Troll of the Day award to Anonymous, I have to give the Comment of the Day award to Miss Ginger Grant. I've appreciated all of your comments, but this was pretty damn good: "Get off the cross, Mary- we need the wood!"

But wait! This just in! We have a tie! Our friend Sheria weighed in with her opinion, and Anonymous had this to say in response:

"Ah, spoken like a TRUE bla-- I mean woman."

Oh dear. It seems that my little cocktail party has gotten a tiny bit out of hand. Your little hostess is quite dismayed.

Your little hostess would like to make this statement concerning her little blog:

If you have a problem with me, feel free to email me at Luvrte66@aol.com. I will respond or ignore as necessary. Anonymous, your harassment of my readers is unwarranted, unpleasant, and just plain nasty. You have proven yourself to be racist and judgmental, and if you decide that you want to continue with your comments, be prepared for the response. I invite you to send me an email if you would like to continue a discussion. The folks that have commented here are my friends, and you are a f***tard of the highest degree for denigrating them. Email me. I dare you. If you missed it, my email is Luvrte66@aol.com. Got it?

Double dare.

Of course, in the meantime, you can continue leaving comments if you'd like, because your obsession with me is kind of scary and fascinating. Disturbing, even. Are you a stalker, Anonymous? Wow, that's creepy. Stop it. Stop stalking me! You also seem to have focused on Sheria. Are you obsessed with her now, too? I bet she'd be happy to share her email address with you, so you can continue your discussion.

What say you? Did you see my email up there? I won't give out Sheria's, because that is her information to share, not mine. That whole privacy thing, doncha know.

On to happier subjects! Ken made it safely to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, for a business meeting. He'll be back Saturday evening, so I've got a few days here by myself, holding down the Nutwood fort. Look out, folks, I've got time on my hands!
