A walk on the beach

A bit overcast today, and looks like we'll have rain later, but we were able to get out for a stroll along the beach. The beach repair and restoration that was being done last year seems to be completed, and all looks well with the beach. I took a few pictures, but until I get them edited, here is a brief video for you.

Here is another one of some gulls fighting over a piece of seaweed. They're funny to watch, but I get the impression that they aren't the sharpest tools in the shed!

Change of plans for tonight--Cousin Ron just called and something came up, so we're moving our dinner to tomorrow. That means it's time to get cleaned up for a late lunch at Norwood's!

  1. From Nutwood to Norwood?

And, I think Cousin Ron really needs to be called Captain Ron (3rd best Kurt Russell movie ever).

Glad you're having fun though. Bring me back some sweet presents, and watch out for pelicans.

  2. With those dark clouds in the sky and the noise from the wind hitting the microphone on the camera, it seems like a storm will hit any moment. I hope you continue to have good weather. An occasional Florida shower can be nice.

  3. I am trying hard to remember that movie that Dan mentioned ... it was funny, I know.

Have the best time at the beach!

  5. the gulls are funny to watch! reminds me of our birdwatching when we were kids! if you want to have some fun with them, take a bag of cheetos to the beach and feed them!

  6. "Hey, that's MY food. Oh god it tastes just awful!!" The other seagull hearing this coming along and says "hey that's MY food. Omigod, it's awful!" Another seagul hearing this comes along... ok you get the idea. ;) Smart? Not so much.
    Love,
    Jamie
