Back soon

Out of officeThose of you who are Facebook friends know that my stepfather-in-law passed away on Monday. I had fully intended to write something philosophical and thoughtful, with perhaps a few meanderings on death, and...well, I found that I just didn’t have it in me. I’m sure something will be forthcoming eventually, but not just yet. Suffice it to say that it’s been a rough year.

In the meantime, it’s a short roadtrip to Missouri, where he and my mother-in-law retired quite a few years ago. That’s where she has decided that they will be buried. I’m taking the laptop with me, so I’ll keep in touch and try to keep up a bit, but I won’t be on a lot.

While I’m away, play nice, and carry on, citizens!

  6. Somehow I missed that. My new job has a no personal internet use policy, so it's been hard for me to keep up this week. Good, uplifting thoughts to both of you (and sorry if my last FB comment seemed a little flippant.)
