Kittehs allowed

Scamper3 A quick update....

Not too long after Ken finished talking to his Mom, the phone rang, and I answered. It was his Mom again, and the first thing she wanted to ask was if Scamper the Cat was welcome there. I said that one of the main criteria with our searches was whether or not cats or small pets were allowed, and that Scamper was most definitely welcome at this place. We chatted a little bit about it, and I told her that I thought it was a really neat setting, and I would definitely live there if I were looking for an apartment. One of the things that Ken told her was that there was a large tree right out back of the apartment that is available for bird feeders...she really liked that. I told Ken that we could definitely put up a hook for a hummingbird feeder.

We're still looking, but I'm very happy with this turn of events. I honestly think it is a really neat place, and they would enjoy the setting and the community quite a lot. I feel like a huge burden has been lifted...we might find another place that they would love, but we know that we've found a place in this one that we really believe would make them happy. Hey, what is that anvil over there, and why was it on my back? Stupid anvil!

  2. Hi Beth,
Sounds like a positive sign ... I suspect it will be a lot easier when they actually see the place.
    Best,

  4. Scamper... that's a cute kitteh name. They could also grow plants out of a planter that would attract the hummingbirds. They love bubble gum mint and it smells nice too. (can you guess what it smells like?) I know when we were looking for apartments around here, we found some really nice ones... out of our price range but really nice nonetheless.
    Love,
    Jamie

  5. I am sure that you have found the best place for your folks. That is what trust in your loved ones is supposed to be about, people who can make major choices for you, and considering your interest at heart.

That is a cute name ... Scamper the cat. I would always address Scamper with the full title of 'Scamper the cat'. Makes you want to get down on the floor and bat with him!

  7. Ken's mom would be lost without her cat. We older people I think needs the comfort of our pets no matter where we live the pets need to be allolwed. I bet you will be glad when everything is a donme deal. Do they live in a house now? We have to stay where we are now on limited income, besides Spunky has a fenced back yard. lol.

  8. I'm glad you've found something for these folks that gives you a chance to relax! I know the stress of dealing with something like this, particularly when the folks you're doing it for are, well, particular about what they want!
