A short conversation

While watching CNN, Ken and I watched as McCain said this on a campaign stop:

McCain: We're going to change Washington, and I'm taking Joe the Plumber with me!

Me: WHAT?!

Ken: Secretary of the Treasury!

Me: [snort!]

Hahahaha! I'm still cracking up!

  1. Lol! Doesn't say much he's taking a nobody to fix somebodies problems. Egads....sigh...it's funny hahaha, except for the fact they don't seem to understand the faux pas with continuing to flaunt Joe the Plumber who isn't a plumber, next we'll find out his name isn't joe either. (Hugs)Indigo

  2. Hi Beth,
I also saw that McCain quote -- "We're going to Washington and I'm taking Joe the Plumber with me" -- but I had a slightly different take on it. If McCain lands in the Oval Office, no doubt there'll be a lot of shit going down and who better to handle it all than "Joe the Plumber" ...!

  3. I swear, after this weekend, Air Supply is going to write a song about John McCain and Joe the Plumber.

In fact, I almost wanted to cry when McCain was calling him out yesterday, and Joe wasn't there. I could almost hear Eric Carmen singing "All By Myself" in the background.

    Heartbreaking stuff.. *sniffle*

  5. I don't want to sling mud, but I can't believe how they are using someone who is a deliberate shortcut-taker, from taxes to doing what it takes to get his license, he is a joke.

What saddens me, is to see that McCain is stooping to the level he graduated from Annapolis ... perhaps that is his true self, and if so, good that he doesn't gain the Oval Office.

  10. Beth , it is almost over. I am a bit nervous because elections can take such a unexpected turn. Of course I would not be on this page if I did not have a favorite. Not sure Hubby shares i=my views but that is ok. Lucy
