I know we won't be watching all of the NCAA games (especially tonight--only three episodes of "ER" left! *sniff*), but I've had them on this afternoon, and it's fun to watch the games during the day. Butler didn't make it through, but Purdue survived, so Indiana only has one team left. Rough year for Hoosier teams. Criminy.
It's very disappointing to have it get so chilly again today. I know that spring is just around the corner, but jeez, hurry up already!
This is going to be a short one, because I have games to play. That's right...just to solidify my geekdom in everyone's mind, I bought the new Hoyle Puzzle and Board Games today. I had a copy already, but of course it doesn't work on Vista. Grrr. I just love these games, and I missed having them on this computer. Backgammon, Dominoes, Parcheesi, Yahtzee, and many more. We have many of those board games already, but Ken and I don't often get a chance to play them, and Sheeba doesn't have opposable thumbs, so he'd have a hard time moving the pieces around the board. It's fun to be able to play against the computer, and there are even some new ones that are kind of fun. There's one with a title that just cracks me up: Star Collector. Isn't that one of the names for groupies? I'm waiting for a game called Plaster Caster! (And a gold star to anyone who gets that reference!)
Maybe some yellow taped on thumbs would allow you and Sheeba to play some games during the day :o)
ReplyDeleteI have a few favorites that I play each day. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoyed your play time. Good for you! LOL about Sheeba
ReplyDeleteI have one for card games and one for board games. In fact, I think I'll play a couple before I go to bed. I'm a game geek too. Brandon and I played parcheesi (the real game) for 4 hours today and had a really good time. Then he went home and played Skitbo with his mom.
ReplyDeleteHe never tires of games.
Hugs, Joyce
ER was so good tonight! I won't say anything about it since I'm not sure if you've seen it yet...but I'm going to be so sad to see it end.

Ha, we're both game board geeks. No one ever wants to play with me though. :( And I don't even win that often, you'd think it would be more fun for them than me. Shawn only wants to play if I had strip to the game. Strip Yahtzee, Strip dominoes, strip sorry... etc. The only way I can play board games is if someone (usually me) ends up naked. And Uno can go on for a LONG time without half your clothes. It's still cold out damnit. How am I supposed to play board games in the winter? ;) I do play a lot of them online as well or on the xbox. They have a lot of variations of Uno on the xbox that are fun to play with people. I usually leave my speakers off however or people piss me off. Recently I started playing jigsaw puzzles online too. Jasmine likes to watch to see what the end result of the puzzle will be. And that way, none of the pieces can ever get lost.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Jamie
plastr caster is it a person who ast people in movies and their loaded or drunk plaster caste LOL
ReplyDeleteJOHN
I'm old enough to know all about plaster casters (although I was NOT one!). They're band groupies who obtain rather unusual souvenirs of members of their favorite band... plaster casts of certain select body parts. Yeah, it happened... maybe still does.
ReplyDeleteIf cats had opposable thumbs, life would be much different.
ReplyDelete:)
You do get some, good comments on your blog. Good or wierd. Cats with oppopsable thumbs?? I don't like basketball so only time I liked it was when I waitressed by a motel and those young healthy appetites came through that door for breakfast and were taught to tip!!! Yea' Lucy
ReplyDeleteMy son and I just play Monopoly last night. Oh for the love of the games of yesteryear. Enjoy and have fun. Take care.
ReplyDeleteI don't get the gold star -- or the reference. :(
